But the Hy-guard recommendations seem to start at the K71 tranny. K66 (like mine) still seems to call out 5W50 synthetic engine oil. Wonder if there is a significant difference between the internals of the K66 and the K71...

I as a little scared that the Hy-tran would cause potential issues in the tuff torq, but it seems John Deere is using it in a K71 for one of their models (Low Viscosity Hy-Guard)

Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 0W40 and/or Mobil Elite 222 both seem to claim the empty XD-3 throne. Thanks to all who helped peel the labels.
Could they be the same oil? What are we talking for a 4 litre jug? Located near London, On.

Like many I have quite a few gas powered appliances (pressure washer, chipper, snowblower, mower) and would like a good diesel rated synthetic multigrade oil that has great high temp properties...
Garden tractor hydrostatic transmission. Tech data sheet says 10W30 CD conventional oil or 5W50 synthetic oil. Wondering what 5W50 engine oil would be best since this an odd application.
