Love this thread!!! Although I hate to admit it I love the gory sludged out motors... I would love to pull of my valve covers... ohhh wait no I wouldn't, they are an absolute PITA on my car.

I have a Makita 9227 buffer that I use for paint correction work on cars. This buffer gets used often for 10-12 hours straight and the gear head of the unit gets very hot after a while. Wondering if there was a better grease I could use to make it run a little smoother and cooler. Thanks.

Cerium oxide and a rayon pad, work slowly, finish it out with cerium oxide on a wool pad...

I use it on wood, clear plastics, metal trim, chrome, and glass... For plastics and vinyl I like 1z Cockpit Premium or Meguiars #40...

Just use a standard wheel cleaner... I like CG Diablo... but any OTC product will be fine. If the cleaner doesn't get it break out the clay bar...

JUST FYI... Meguiars, Mothers, Clay Magic, Chemicals Guy's, ETC.... They are all made by the same company! They make three grades, mild, medium, and aggressive... The only clays that AREN'T made by Automagic are Sonus, Riccardo, and Bilt Hammer... but none of those are technical sold here...

Adding clear back on is ideal.. but it really depends on the size of the spot...

Me personally... and this is how I treat MY cars... customer cars... well that depends on how much $$ they want to spend. Pretreat with bug and tar remover as needed Rinse down the entire car with the pressure washer Wash with the two bucket method Rinse with the pressure washer again Claybar...

My friend Tommy had 360k on his car and it was runnin the same 1/4 times that it did with 100k on it....
