No idea what the local bulk would be around here in NJ, but I am sure its nowhere near as good as at least MC Blend. In two weeks I'll drain it, get a UOA and fill up with something nice.
I'm afraid it is just some cheap 5w30 Dino. In another 1300 miles I will have to change it up. I do tend to agree that the PP seems to look the best for an oil you can get anywhere. I think the Redline looks good too. I knew that getting a turbo motor was going to be a lil stricter on...
Hey All,
Picked up a used CX-7 a few weeks ago. It had 7000 miles on it. Im currently at 8700 miles and I checked the oil today and it was low. Picked up a qt of MC 5w30 Blend. It took a half quart to top it off. I have been religious about giving it a min or so to warm up and before I turn it...
I wanted to try it out, I need a refill of FP and I would rather get the 3000 if its available. Guess I will check back this week and see if it shows up.
All I use is BP now anyhow along with Fuel Power. Ive been using BP for over a year now. No issues here. Dont have much choice where I live its either BP or Sunoco. Everything else is cheapo gas.
I had some Acetone at the house....Didnt do a thing. I was pretty sure it wouldnt but I figured what would 3oz do in a 13 gallon tank. Exactly what I thought, NOTHING. Hehehe
MC 5w20. I would stick with that. That is what is going in my 05 Escape. I wouldnt think twice about it, it has given me great numbers in my Zetec Focus.
05 or 06 Escape with the 2.3l Duratec. Suv Size, 4-Cyl Mileage(well better that v-6 mileage). I like mine.
Focus Wagon is another great choice. If going for a used one get a 02 and up so you are out of that Fuel Pump Problem range.
Very well put. I am running 5w20 in my Focus.....2.0L with 130HP. It is puttin up good numbers. I would just put on a nice filter and MC 5w20. That would be my combo.
The SVT Model of the Focus calls for 5w30 for all the years it was produced. I think all the SVT cars, 4.0's and Diesels are the only cars that dont fall under the 5w20 umbrella.
