    Stongest Filter Body? 💪

I'm not debating that the design is less than desirable, but doesn't the splitter part actually rotate so that the splitter is vertical when splitting wood? My grandfather has one just like this (same design...different brand) and I can't ever remember hitting the filter or anything behind the...

Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filters

Lots of guessing here and straight up inaccuracies... M1 has made the switch to M&H. This happened late last year. However...all the product out there at the moment is Champ Labs product. I'd expect you'll see M&H product soon on the high volume numbers like M1-110A, etc. The "A" suffix...

    Found some OLD oil filters.

Those are STP filters that predate AZ carrying them. Many years ago Walmart carried the STP brand and these are likely from there. The part numbering system was different then as once STP moved into AZ...they followed the Fram system. Champ is still making STP filters. They just share that...

    Royal Purple Filter Mileage Rating

I've personally went 20k on a Royal Purple (10-2867) before and it looked every bit as good as what 4WD posted. I would never hesitate to run an RP out further than a M1, etc.

    Rust on Rockauto oil Filter

That is a pre-cover ecore. Don't use it...not worth it. It was produced in 2004. That rust means too much moisture and the media integrity would absolutely be in question given the age and potential moisture issue.

Why The Price Increase : Fram Ultra #9688 (Hyundai) ?

All are good guesses...drumroll please... Pricing has went up due to the tariffs. Because of the tariffs...even US Steel has went up and all the filter companies are passing that cost along. Now I won't pretend that new management may eventually change that, but Trico hasn't been the owner long...

    Walther CCP range report.

The ergo's on the CCP are absolutely fantastic. Walther has done a great job with this including the PPQ, P99 and P22 in my opinion. My wife also loves this pistol. The trigger does leave something to be desired, but it's not a deal breaker imo...

    STP S2808, newer, cleaner construction

Just as an FYI... Champ has an "office" in Shanghai...not manufacturing facilities. Years ago they had an air filter plant, but closed it quietly after the Fram merger (and before the subsequent "divorce"). As to the product seen on shelf at AZ...see below. Originally Posted by Hannibal The...

Much like everyone else on here...Spirit is fine if you go in expecting exactly what you will receive. A ride somewhere and that's it. If you have any issues...you will be in trouble. I did swear off them, but if the last flight I had with them had worked out...I would've been more lenient. My...

    Discouraging K&N HP-3001 Cut Open

I thought it was already known, but K&N has went back to Champ Labs production. Any Mexico production would be old stock. Champ is making almost all of the HP and PS line, but I do not think they have the element business. That is likely still being sourced overseas. The Champ production is...

HTA Ruger 10/22 stock - Looks great!

Great pick! I've used a few different 10/22 stocks in the past and the HTA was my favorite. I am extremely partial to P90's though for the record. Ruger BX-25 mags worked the best for me with it. I had a couple of other higher capacity mags (forgot the brands) and they did not like the magwell...

Thoughts on the STP Extended Life Oil Filters?

I don't want to get into an argument about any of this, but I will tell you that if you believe that most of the companies are worried about FTC intervention when it comes to marketing...they're not. STP is licensed by AZ for the filtration and oil products. They don't make anything. The AZ...

Thoughts on the STP Extended Life Oil Filters?

Just an FYI...both the XL and the MaxLife lines have multiple suppliers now. You'll see differences at the store level as certain suppliers are covering certain areas. The MaxLife product will no longer be produced by MH. As the current stock runs out...you'll see changes at AZ across the board...
