    Action lube for M1 Garand

Brownell's shows Lubriplate 130A in their catalog as the Garand grease. It is an NLGI 2 grease. I contacted Fiske Brothers. They list their 130AA as the original milspec rifle grease. It's an NLGI 1 grease, ad you can buy it direct from Fiske Bros or MSC Direct online, or probably a number of...

    McLaren-Ferrari Spy Case

For manufacturers of high end performance cars like McLaren and Ferrari it is an integral part of their automotive business, and their main R&D department. When you buy a Ferrari, you've bought years of materials and technology developed for and tested in Formula 1. To claim otherwise, and...

    McLaren-Ferrari Spy Case

What an utter crock...McLaren accepts stolen goods from insiders, a 780 page dossier full of technical drawings, engineering calcs, wind tunnel test data for Ferrari's 2008 car, and this is somehow par for the course. It's bona fide industrial espionage, and Ferrari are whiners for seeking their...

    Bio-based gun lubes?

Iosso gun oil is listed on some Iowa ag site (maybe the Iowa Soybean Council or somesuch, I can't recall - senior stuff) as a bio-based lube contributing to the soybean economy. I asked Iosso for their MSDS, it was promised, but never received. All I can say is I've seen a number of unsold...

    gun lube info : FP-10

I stay awaybfrom all chloroparaffins regardless of chain length. Long chains are now as suspect as short-chains, and with the usual suspect target organ, the liver. At 30% chlorowax, I won't take any chances. I'll take instead a bigger wear scar, anyday, and my guns will still outlive me

let's discuss gun lubes in detail

Hey, I love the arrow heading skyward off the charts...now there's a convicing data sheet "Muscle firepower" sounds like an after-workout body rubdown

    Lithium #0 grease

Lubriplate 630-AAA is an excellent #0 lithium grease. AW and EP. You can get it in a 10 oz tube or a 16 oz can (better deal.) The Lubriplate website has a list of distributors. They are usually considerably cheaper than the Lubriplate webstore, but if all else fail you can order from them direct.

    Ballistol - cleans and lubes

Moribundman, I've heard of neo-ballistol, which has a synthetic base. Does Klever make other gun-specific products? I'd like to know, maybe pick some up on my next trip to Yurp. Thanks, Gigi

    Ballistol - cleans and lubes

Well Moribundman...I guess you have an issue with the primitive chemistry of Ballistol. I'm sure there are packs out there that blow Ballistol away, but..... I've been dealing with two troubling issues for the last twenty years. I never thought the two issues would converge in a strange way...

    SAE 10 & 20 Machine oils.

Grainger carries Mobil Velocite lathe spindle oils in both ISO 10 and 22 grades. I think MSC carries the Chevron line of synthetic ashless spindle oils. Easy to find and cheap, I think Velocite goes for about 10 bucks a gallon, more or less

Would that be Albatross Lily White http://www.albatross-usa.com/htmlversion/lubricants/AlbatrossLilyWhite_html.htm

    Sewing machine oil.

You can buy Singer branded sewing machine oil at Wal-mart. Otherwise an iso-10 or iso-22 spindle oil is the pretty much the same thing (like Mobil Velocite)
