    Transfer Oil Too Thick?

All - I drained my front 4x4 transfer case, 2005 Grand Cherokee WK, this week and noticed the gear lube seemed thick....maybe an 85w-140? The factory Mopar fill calls for 5016796 fluid (Mopar MS-10216) specifically for the front, which I used. I am the second owner of the Jeep, currently at...

Should I go to a 5 30 on my Hyundai

I had the same engine in my Jeep Compass for over 12 years. I would frequently use 5w30 in the summers (temps about 85-105 here locally) and never had an issue. In Winter, I would switch back to factory 5w20 recommendation.

OCI 5w30 TSC Oil - Now Noisy

Squeaking continued..and later that same week the OEM water pump was starting to leak coolant. Replaced the pump, both hoses, thermostat, fan clutch and new Hoat coolant. No more noise & running smooth at idle and on the road. Whodda thunk it?

OCI 5w30 TSC Oil - Now Noisy

Changed out my OCI 2 weeks ago with 5w30 Traveller Full Syn & using a Fram Extra Guard filter. I understand that WP oil products package this brand for TSC. I added 1 quart of 10w30 to make it a little thicker. Now my 4.7 v-8 (2005 Jeep with 90k original miles) is making 'sloshing' sound like...

    Mopar 75w-140

And from another forum (RAM Rebel): The description that comes up on dealer computer states the verbiage from the owner's manual in pertinent part for 2017+, 75w90 MS-A0160, C235 axle. However, it lists the wrong part number which is the previous oil used in the 2016 and below vehicles, which...

    Mopar 75w-140

For whats its worth, I also read about the older rear diff in Ram/Jeep and they recommended the older GL5, Mopar Spec MS-8985: https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-axle-lube-68218657ab I went ahead and ordered some, since if there is any towing to be done in summer here (average temps 80 -...

    Mopar 75w-140

2011 Ram 1500 rear end, 1/2 ton truck with Tow package. I watched a video of a mechanic with the same truck, but he used 75w140.

    Mopar 75w-140

Find I'm having to need a change of diff rear gear fluid after 30,000 miles: I've been told to use 75w-140 for potential towing purposes...and not the 75w-90. Is this correct? It is for my 2011 RAM 1500, so I already know I need the Mopar friction modifier and only to use Mopar Gear oil (same...

    Yokohama Geolander any good?

I see Walmart has Yokohama Geolander tires for $189 on their website. Are these tires any good? I'm looking for my 2005 Grand Cherokee, with stock 17 inch wheels. I occasionally use forest roads in 4wheel drive and have to deal with rain, snow/ice in winter on paved highway mountain roads...

    Ear protection..

Ditto on the headphones from Harbor Freight. Bought mine years ago for $4 bucks and they are still in great shape, for just a basic set.
