FRAM Synthetic Endurance is looking a bit weak.

Certainly not. I'm happy to have learned something today, and most of all, I'm happy I can finally buy a good filter for my car at Walmart instead of buying online or making two trips. Previously they didn't have anything for me at most locations.

FRAM Synthetic Endurance is looking a bit weak.

Alright, I get it! 😂 This noob has been shown the light. I guess I was quick to judge a book by its cover because it looked different from every other filter I've used. It's going in the 535i wagon today. I'll update in 6k miles how it holds up.

    MicroGard MGL57712 product source change

O'Reilly has been switching away from WIX for their air and oil filters and going to chinese products in the past few months. I wouldn't bother with them anymore, and stick with the Vietnamese made Select filters, which are of great quality.

Under the valve cover of a $1900 BMW N54. Want your opinions

Decided to check back on this thread, thanks so much for all of your great responses. Here's an update for anyone who cares. She made it to Arizona! 30 hours and 2,000 miles was not a problem for this thing. And, best of all - It didn't, and still hasn't, used a drop of oil, even with sustained...

Under the valve cover of a $1900 BMW N54. Want your opinions

My bar is low considering I paid $1900 for a somewhat nice car that I was able to drive an hour home, so I'm elated to say that it hasn't used a drop of oil. I'm going to be driving it 2000 miles back to college in a few weeks, I suppose that will be the real test. The last four times I've made...

Under the valve cover of a $1900 BMW N54. Want your opinions

I've just bought this 2009 BMW 535xi Wagon with 158k miles for cheap (needed a valve cover, brakes, and two wheel speed sensors - $250 and an afternoon, it now runs great). However, I am a bit concerned about the condition of the top end. Looks like some thick varnish. Should I be concerned...

    MMO synthetic

Does anyone happen to know the viscosity of this new MMO synthetic? The wear scar testing they published looks promising, but it was being being compared to and tested with a grp III 0w-20.
