I went with Amsoil DEO as it seems to spec out very well. I am not running the BG additive anymore as it didn't seem to do any good and the only reason I ran it as they had a warranty program with its use. Will post analysis results at 5K with the DEO....

Ok I read up on DEO and it seems to spec better than TDT but TDT is apparently proven in the PD TDI world. How does 5/30 series 3000 compare to 5/40 DEO?

As far as engine mods, I went with DPF delete and EGR reduction and the power band smoothed out, so nothing radical or crazy. Stock the engines are 313/550; so maybe 340ish and 570 now... I have been using 5/30 for the last 20k, the AMS 5/40 had worse results than the 5/30, so I think Amsoil is...

Interesting, so mobil TDT seems to do pretty darn good. VW guys scream bloody murder if you aren't using a 505.01 or 507.00 approved oil. I might go with TDT since their seems to be good oil analysis results. I've been running the OEM filters as that is all that is out there for the touareg.

Interesting Feedback, I must confess interpreting the results are hard for me to discern, hence I posted here. I didn't have much luck on the touareg forum. I have been running the euro blend Amsoil for the last 25,000 miles. I wonder if the high iron wear stems from the PD cam lobes and being...
