OP, Have you shadowed anyone on those respective fields that has been on the job 10+ years?
All I can say is chose the field that you have the desire to excel at. If you excel in either of those fields and then learn how to leverage your acquired talents, you will be a multi-millionaire.
Where can I find a temperature versus viscosity graph of different engine oil weights such as 0w30 and 10w30?
I googled images and searched here but perhaps my searching skills are wanting.
Thanks!!
What is the link to the oil weight mix calculator?
...the one that tells you the resultant weight if you mix different weight oils.
I could find it using google.
Thanks!
I still use LC and FP and they still give great results. 95% of their volume comes from fleets not from individuals that cruise message boards.
I would guess Auto-RX has a smaller fleet percentage.
FP60 is great FP Plus is even better. Not much talk about it lately. At least for me, I don't rave about it much any more because I did my raving about 8 months ago and don't have anything new to say. It just plain works.
In short, increased mileage and ability to increase ignition timing...

Surface area is not the main consideration, however, the volume concentration of AutoRX is the important factor.
1 bottle of AutoRX per 4 to 5 qts sump is normal. You'll be perfect with 2 full bottles of AutoRX for your 9 qt sump.
Another great one that you know about already is FP Plus from Lube Control. It works in all my cars and my friends' cars for improved mileage.
Techron is good.
Chevron Purescape is good.
AutoRX is great.
Monitoring your tire pressure at regular intervals is good.
AFE, Donaldson and AEM intake...
What if Mobil or other big oil company included an exact AutoRX clone at recommended concentrations in their oils but did not bring specific marketing attention to it, by chemical analysis could anybody even tell it was AutoRX in there?
Lube Control doesn't pay much attention here. I recall the owner Jeff said that us car guys are only 5% of his total sales. 95% of his sales come from truck fleets and bus fleets.
The good part about that is this tells me the products are proven in commercial heavy duty environments. The...
I would personally buy a Group II oil that had AutoRX in it already.
Imagine, Mobil coming out with a Group II oil with AutoRX at slightly higher price but perform better than expensive synthetics. However, the marketing conflict would have to be worked out.
As a disclaimer, I browsed the Auto-RX patent but I don't understand it anyway. Perhaps this link will work: http://www.google.com/patents?id=M3QNAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4
As a thought experiment, someone could independently make the same formulation and not even know it and if the...
