Motor oil works just fine on guns. I don't use it to clean guns just lubricate. A quart of Mobil 1 will last the rest of your life and your kids. Most gun oils are nothing special and the tales are that one is nothing but repackaged Mobil 1 and the other trendy one is coconut oil with a few...
Balistol is also water based and can be used to clean a gun after shooting corrosive ammo or black powder. This is mostly what I use it for as I have quite a bit of Russian and Chinese corrosive ammo as well as some others.
The extra weight and action of the gas on the compensator help slow the slide down. I would expect the kit comes with a heavier recoil spring as well. A heavier hammer sporing can also be used to help slow and delay the slide.
The .460 works and you'll note you can not buy a conversion without...
The 1-6X or 1-8X power scopes will do it all. If they are a true 1X power get one with an illuminated reticle and you can shoot from zero to farther than a 5.56 is effective. Trijicons are great but fixed power and if you're older like me they don't work without wearing readers as they have no...
I'll use it in my 2017 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins and I use it in several other applications including my Polaris quads. Thanks for the information. that's the price they sell it for all the time. Priced like the syn blend. I'm going to start using it!
I've found some info here on BITOG about Mystic 15W40 in both standard and syn blend but virtually nothing on the full synthetic HDEO with a CJ4 rating. Any experience out there? Price is real good at the local ranch store at $15.00 a gallon jug.
Simplistic,
I was wondering about replacing the pressure relief valve if necessary if it goes through the front cover and how difficult it was to access.

I have been busy but finally got around to swapping back to Mobil 1 TDT and my normal filter. Pressure will still hit 90+PSI at high RPM. Have to hunt down someone with a mechanical gauge to verify my stock gauge. I have found one parts drawing showing the pressure relief valve on an LB7. It...
Simplistic,
That's what I have been seeing consistently for the life of the truck. I have replaced all the stepper motors and it seems to be working fine but I do not have a tech 2 tool. As I have said this happened immediately after the oil change. I guess we'll see if there is a difference...
All was fine prior to the oil change noticed higher pressure immediately thereafter. I guess it could break between shutting it off and starting it up but I kind of doubt it.
Update: I towed my 5th wheel up to Mammoth CA. and the oil pressure went nuts! Pulling out of Bishop up 395 I had to climb the Sherwin grade. As I went up I noticed the pressure was high but didn't have my glasses on. I popped them on and the needle was pegged! It hit 120+ PSI pulling the grade...

Simplistic,
Like I said mine is very consistent and this has not happened before so I suspect either the oil or the filter and wondering if anyone has noticed the same phenomena with either the oil or filter I am using.
No it doesn't use any oil. It has been very consistent in it's pressure readings since new. Some oils I have tried ran a little less pressure but nothing has run higher pressure, especially when hot from towing than Mobil 1.
