I never use Euro products and these results are definitely old so they would be based on formulas that were available at the sample date. I don’t have the bottles but the oil wasp from the gold bottles, EDGE Extended Protection, 5w30, full syn.
All samples except for ODO 43,596mi were Amsoil SS 5w-30. Sample 33,926mi included one track day consisting of 3 20min sessions on a hot day.
Sample 43,596mi was a Valvoline 5w30 that i wanted to try. I ran the Castrol EP 5w30 gold bottle around 12K and 15K and got decent results with it...
So you're suggesting to bring the OCI interval on time to 6 months? With how cheap this oil and how I like to work on cars I don't mind... just wondering about the opinion.
I probably won’t run it past 3k, the normal OCI, due to the lowered viscosity that occurred in just a few thousand miles. It’s cheap so that helps to just swap it out without breaking the bank.
Just an experiment with the Supertech Advanced 5w-30 & my 57k mile 2014 Evo X. It’s got a stock turbo, fuel system & an intake + catback (tuned). I really don’t drive it that much anymore hence the 2,192mi & 1 year interval oil change. No track time was completed on this OCI, just a year’s...

Almost 1:1, IMO.
Take in mind that I made a misprint in a very first post. It should be 22 of titanium and 0 for potassum. I...
Yes I noticed this also & I hate it. Shell seems to be the most consistently ridiculous offender. Usually its around a full dollar more for premium vs reg. which is crazy. The price jump from regular to mid-grade is usually 40-50 cents more. Other stations are 20-30 cents between grades which is...

Great car! I miss my VIII and to a lesser extent, my Ralliart Turbo.
No problem &...
So here's my oil change result from my 14 EVOX GSR. Its stock besides a catback exhaust. I daily drive with city & HWY mix. No track or autoX events were on this sample since it was winter.... just spirited driving a couple of times a week. This oil went through tons of idle warm up time since...

You've much to learn
I'm doing the 3000mi OCI for my warranty and the high performance 4-cyl turbo. I would run it longer if everything including viscosity looks good. Yes I am studying how different...

Things look good with strong detergent and antiwear additive packages with excellent TBN; viscosity at 100*C. appears to be low at only 9.82 instead of around 10.5
No problem. Yes the viscosity is supposed to be 10.3 according to their...
