RESISTANCE TO EVAPORATION AT HIGH TEMPERATURESIn some applications greases are exposed for extensive periods toelevated temperatures. These elevated temperatures may causeevaporation of the base oils resulting in hardening and caking ofthe grease.Schaeffer Mfg’s Aluminum Complex Base and Bentone BaseGreases due to the use of 100% pure paraffin base oils and/orseverely hydrotreated polyalphaolefin synthetic base stocks, exhibit lower vapor pressures and significantly higher boilingpoints than conventional greases . This results in1. Reduced grease consumption.2. Significantly reduced deposit formation.3. Longer bearing life.4. Increased oxidation stability.5. Significantly less wear.
